This is part 1 of my trip to Grand Teton, Yellowstone and Glacier National Park!
It was so cool landing at Jackson Hole Airport (JAC) because the mountains were literally the backdrop. We were just steps away from Grand Teton.
This was bear country and you can rent bear sprays from the airport.
It was picturesque as soon as we stepped off the plane and into our rental car.
Went to Dornans for lunch and walked around town to see if we needed to get any last minute essentials. There were a few stores with hiking and camping equipment as well as apparel.
After lunch, we continued on our drive.
Not sponsored (but can I be?) — I LOOOOVE these Honey Stinger waffles with honey!! They provide me with energy and taste SO good. I always pack a couple when I go hiking. It was also a good pre-fuel before running a race back in the day when I used to run.
I loved it here. The water was so clear and so serene.
Bison traffic was common during our trip. They were so cute! But we were told not to ever approach them or they could charge at us.
Dinner at Gun Barrel Steak & Game House
Grand Teton was one of the prettiest, calmest national parks I’ve ever been to. It wasn’t crowded and there was so much to see. Every corner we turned was another perfect scene.
One of my favorite parks!
Wow I didn’t know bear spray is rented and is so costly if used!
