Japan (February 2020) Part 2: Hakone & Tokyo

To get to our hotel in Hakone, we had to take a taxi from the train station.

Hakone the town was easily walkable and it was so quiet and serene! I remember there was a really nice old man working at the 7-11 there. I just loved getting their fried chicken and corndog.

Tenzan

Tenzan Onsen – Day use onsen with lots of different temperature outdoor pools & sauna. It was only $10 USD to enter and you can spend the whole day there! So clean and so relaxing. Back when we went in 2020, there were signs saying no tattoos allowed, but it wasn’t strictly enforced. Would love to come back and eat at their restaurant. Can get there by bus or walking uphill.

Back to Tokyo!

That day, we were the last batch of people to be able to get into teamLab Borderless due to COVID-19 shutting down everything soon after.

I shall end the post with photos from my favorite bar in Tokyo – Bar Orchard in Ginza! Your menu is a basket of fruits, and you can choose how weak/strong your drinks are.

Everything was so cute and unique, and the cocktails actually tasted really good! And they were so nice to us. Highly recommended.
