I chose to do the Fairy Tale Challenge, which was a 10K and a Half Marathon in one weekend. You get two medals for the races plus an extra one for completing both! I flew to Florida solo and some of my friends were meeting me later for the Half. One of the princesses that I took a photo with called me “brave” and made me gush a little. There’s something about Disney that makes me feel like a little girl again.
At the expo, I got to do a free stretching/rolling class
Morning of the 10K. This was February, and it was so cold and dark in the morning in Florida.
Like any other Disney runs, I’m really only there to take pictures with characters.
I watched the sun rise as I ran the 10K. One of my favorite things about running early races.
Enchanted 10K done.
I wandered around and got some fish & chips.
A few of my girl friends joined me for the Half Marathon the next day.
I told Cinderella “You’re my favorite!” and Prince Charming chimed in, “She’s mine too.” I love how in character these characters are. They’re quick with it.
After the Half Marathon, we went to Domu for ramen. Visited friends and went around the neighborhood.
It was just a short weekend trip, but I enjoyed the entirety of it! Disney runs are so well organized and yes, they’re expensive but they’re so worth it for the experience!
