Here are some photos from yesterday’s Lunar New Year Parade in downtown Flushing, NY.
Balloons, confetti, drums, lions.
Here’s Ronald!
Little kids in lion heads — SO cute.
Fittingly, I went to Kaffe 1668 in Manhattan to meet up with my friends before we go to a knitting workshop. The “wool” theme of the day was amusingly overwhelming.
Wool and the Gang is a UK-based knitwear brand. They sell wool yarn and “kits” for people to purchase for DIY projects. This was a 2.5-hour workshop to make a “Snood Operator” at The Wooly in Tribeca.
It was a pretty chill environment and they had people to assist you in case you needed any help. There were 3 levels of difficulty. My friends and I knew the basics so we asked for some help in casting on and assisting in the pattern. I love that we got to take these huge knitting needles home. Their “Crazy, Sexy Wool” is really great quality!
