We took a Real City tour of Medellín in the morning. Highly recommend! It was so informative and educational, and really gave us a peek into the history and culture of Colombia.
It was an AMAZING tour. We learned so much about the history of Colombia (yes, the drugs) and about how the city rebuilt itself, the revitalization and transformation of urban spaces, and the coming together of the community. There’s just SO much history here.
Plaza Botero. We saw so many Botero sculptures everywhere!
Had to try a Buñuelo, kind of like a donut treat for breakfast.
We got more street food nearby.
Of course, empanadas and arepas. They were so good!!
We rode on one of the famous cable cars.
You can see the whole city.
Stopped by Pergamino for a coffee break. It’s like their Starbucks – there were many locations throughout the city.
I ended up getting coffee beans from here as souvenirs.
We had dinner and drinks at Mamasita Medallo.
Ended the night at Perro Negro, the most known reggaeton club in Medellín.
It was here that I got into Karol G, whose music was everywhere because she had just won Woman of the Year at the Billboard Latin Women that month.
