Took the overnight train from Hanoi to Hue – It took about 13-14 hours and I slept for most of it, with interruptions because the train would make stops and along with those, loud announcements. Went to the toilet once and it was less than stellar… very minimal, and there was a big roach. At this point I needed a shower badly, since we got off the Ha Long Bay boat and right into the train. Our hotel in Hue was great. The good thing about this is that we’re ready to explore after.
Visiting the Imperial Citadel
Salt coffee – tasted like the “salted cream” part of bubble tea. I prefer coconut coffee or egg coffee.
Got the “tasting menu” at Madam Thu, which was like a sampler – this was so good!
Also got a Bun bo Hue since I was in Hue.
I walked along the water and crossed a bridge. Found a marketplace with food courts.
Saw a bunch of sculptures and artwork along the river.
