Koneko
26 Clinton St.
New York, NY 10002
The front is a cafe that serves baked goods and green tea cheesecakes, with small tables and people who sit for hours with their Macbooks doing whatever important blogging they seem to be doing. The back, which you can see through floor to ceiling windows, is a sanctuary for kitties where you will pet them for $15 purr hour. (Yes, I said it)
You can sit in the cafe for free, or make a reservation via their easy-to-use website for a specific time slot.
Order at the cafe first, then they set your cakes/drinks in trays with plastic covers.
The cats will be curious, so keep them covered unless you’re actually eating them. (We’re still talking about the cakes here…)
Chocolate-yuzu crepe cake.
“Gimme dat.”
“Yes, you.”
Most of them were napping…
So we had a little fun…
We just want to hold their paws.
And then there’s this guy.
The rest of the time we just hung out.
Bye Percy.
I shall have to visit this place
